May update of WIN events for August 3,4,& 5

The town of Norfolk Connecticut is hard at work this spring organizing events for the 2018 WIN that is taking place this year on August 3,4, and 5!  For the third year in a row this family fun event promises fun for those that attend... at a price tag that is irresistible, this event is free!

Ambulance squad        Chainsaw wood carving over the course of three days

Artisans Guild                        Demos all three days

Aton Forest                Astronomy night at Dennis Hill, with refreshments
                                    Kite flying morning on Dennis Hill
                                    Nature walk in City Meadow Park, with Conservation Commission

Country Club              Open house and information about golf course, Friday 10 till 2

Doug McDevitt          Fishing-related event on green

Fire Department         Water soccer, and will sell fried dough

Infinity Hall                Outdoor concerts Saturday and Sunday afternoons
                                    Ticketed concerts

Land Trust                  Hike the peaks, Saturday and Sunday; may also do a short trail run

Little League               Season has ended but may do an exhibition game

Meadowbrook                        Ice cream social, Saturday afternoon

Mountain View Inn    Open house, Sunday afternoon

Music Festival                        Free concerts, on Saturday and two Sunday
                                    Ticketed concerts, Friday and Saturday
                                    Tours of Whitehouse, Sunday
                                    Ice cream, Sunday
                                    Kids’ games, Sunday (maybe with Battell Arts and Community Assn.)
